Author NewsH. Allenger: Highlights

“Polyxena” by H. Allenger should be a recommended reading for history classes

H. Allenger’s Polyxena is basically an action/adventure fiction based on the mythical story of Troy. That said, it perfectly qualifies as a recommended reading for history classes for its vivid approach to what is otherwise a bare chronicle of Troy.

There’s no denying that the book is far from being a history book. We’re clear about that. However, Polyxena offers a tale of a young lady who tries to search her way through uncertain times while still managing to perform her duty as the daughter of King Priam of Troy.

The heroine tells her eye-witness account of the events that lead up to the downfall of Troy from a first-person point of view.

Told from the perspective of a young woman, the story fuses myth and romance in a unique way. As well as an action-adventure story with spices of mythical affairs, the book is also a gripping foray into romance.
