“The Irish Fiasco” by Geoff Quaife comes to life with a new book trailer
Geoff Quaife’s The Irish Fiasco, a historical thriller book about Luke Tremayne’s murder investigation and search for stolen silver in the seventeenth century Ireland, comes to life in this new book trailer, courtesy of Author Reputation Press.
Set in 1649, Cromwell’s trusted agent Luke searches for stolen silver, and knows that the quickest way to death is trusting anyone. His investigation is complicated by intriguing Royalists, Irish rebels, influential women, treacherous comrades, a loveable witch, maladjusted siblings, murderous charcoal burners, and devious priests. An imminent invasion by England into Ireland becomes the backdrop to Luke’s mission.
Luke has to find the murderer of a fellow agent and locate the silver sent by the Catholic Church in Spain to assist the rebels in Ireland. Then he has to face his enemies in Ireland and England.
Quaife has been a University teacher, historian, and administrator. In addition to his novels, he has also written a couple of non-fiction books such as an overview of the witchcraft craze of the 16th and 17th centuries, and the sexual mores and practices of the English peasantry.
