“The Life and Times of Sgt. Joseph Thomas “Tom” Biway, USMC” by D. J. Cotten is a perfect read with military based storylines – Pacific Book Reviews

After receiving accolade from the US Review of Books, The Life And Times Of Sgt. Joseph Thomas “Tom” Biway, USMC by D. J. Cotten has now been praised by the Pacific Book Reviews.

The book follows the story of an unprincipled long-time Marine Corps officer (Biway) and a respectable Chicago policeman, Odell Williams, who joined the Marines after being disillusioned with the police department.

The former police officer was assigned under the command of the unscrupulous Marine officer. However, a mutual distaste was brewing between the two military personnel soon after. Their loathing led to the murder of one and a court martial for the other.

The Pacific Book Reviews has positively reviewed the book for taking “a deep dive into the mind and actions of this individual.”

Book critic Anthony Avina remarks that Cotten pulled off an excellent job at setting up the book’s story as he takes time to explore both men’s lives before crossing their paths. This provides readers the opportunity to know the men as human beings first before the events that brought them to their violent conclusion unfold. You can read the full review here.
