“Fast forward one year, and here I was, about to embark on a trip to Vietnam to rediscover those places that had such a tremendous impact on my life. I didn’t have a clue how this trip would affect me—the people I would meet, the changes to the landscape, or the many surprises along the way. I was hoping to understand better the Vietnam War and how the Vietnamese people survived to make their country a fast-growing travel destination. And I was also hoping to understand better the events that had so dramatically transformed the optimistic and fearless young man I had once been into the haunted and troubled veteran I had become.”

Author Reputation Press is honored to publish “Return to Vietnam, The Memories: Facing my Demons and Coming to Terms with Them” by Stan Bain. The book is now available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and the ARP website.
This book aims to give the reader who does not have firsthand experience of Vietnam a general overview of the country, including its climate, culture, history, and related information.
The author dedicates this to those Vietnam veterans who have or are still struggling with memories that haunt them daily. He hopes that sharing his experience in returning to Vietnam will give them ideas that maybe they can consider returning to the scene where their thoughts were manifested. In terms of history, Vietnam’s history is fascinating, stretching over thousands of years and dominated by many conflicts.
Stan Bain and Sister Renee, the last of the living nuns, were at the orphanage at the same time that Stan was during the VC attack in November 1967.
