Gilles R. G. Monif, M.D., graduated from Boston University School of Medicine. He was trained in internal medicine at the Columbia Medical Service at Bellevue Hospital and in pathology at the New York University School of Medicine. He did his military service at the National Institutes of Health. He was an assistant and associate professor at the University of Florida College of Medicine. He then became a professor and eventually an assistant dean at Creighton University School of Medicine and an affiliate professor at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine.
