The New York Times Book Review (NYTBR) features “Love, Faith, & Bullets: My Unspoken Sermon” by Nathan Wells

Nathan Wells’ masterpiece, “Love, Faith, & Bullets: My Unspoken Sermon,” was featured in the summer issue of The New York Times Book Review (NYTBR) Magazine of 2024.

Current non-fiction and fiction books are reviewed in The New York Times Book Review (NYTBR), a weekly paper magazine supplement to the Sunday edition of The New York Times (an American daily newspaper with a worldwide readership reported in 2020 to be a growing 6 million paid digital subscribers). It is one of the most well-known and significant book reviews in the business.

“Love, Faith & Bullets: My Unspoken Sermon” by Nathan Wells was among the books displayed by Author Reputation Press during the 2024 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books (LATFOB) at the University of Southern California on April 20–21, 2024.

The LATFOB is considered to be one of the world’s most significant literary gatherings. It has been held every year since 1996 with the goal of bringing together the people who create books and the people who love to read them. It is attended by more than 550 authors, celebrities, storytellers, and hundreds of exhibitors.

The author, Nathan Wells, was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1989. He spent most of his childhood in school, at his local church and community group, and with his family. He moved to Baton Rouge, LA, after Hurricane Katrina devastated his neighborhood. His desire to fly airplanes and serve inspired him to apply for the U.S. Air Force Academy. He was accepted and entered the academy in 2007. This first publication is the culmination of all those experiences.

He is an active-duty Air Force officer. The views expressed are the personal views of the author and do not represent the official views of the U.S. Air Force or the Department of Defense. This string of love notes, family, war, and soul-searching describes the inner thoughts of how an honorable US Air Force Airman views the world around him. Deep within these descriptive narratives, you will emotionally connect to the life struggles of the southern Louisiana gentleman.

“Love, Faith, & Bullets” is a beautiful collection of poems written over the span of a decade. It is a timeless tale of love & heartache while Nate was discovering his faith and what it meant to be in the 21st-century American military. He masterfully colors the emotional toils of his heart onto every page.

Last year, “Love, Faith, & Bullets” by Nathan Wells was among the books displayed by Author Reputation Press during the Frankfurt Book Fair 2023 in Frankfurt, Germany, on October 18–22, 2023.

The Frankfurter Buchmesse, reportedly known as the world’s largest trade fair for books, opened its doors to participants around the globe celebrating books and their authors. The massive book fair also celebrated its 75th anniversary last year. Slovenia, their guest of honor this year, presented itself as a nation with a rich literary history in addition to being a desirable tourism destination.
